Sunsation Nation does Hawaii

Post by Captain YARRR » Fri Dec 05, 2014 12:35 pm

Having a hell of a time in Hawaii on Deja Blue. We launched in Pearl Harbor (awesome) and promptly got mixed up with some 6-8 foot swells. It got pretty wild but Deja handled it like a champ. I had an absolute blast riding along. We got over to Waikiki and it calmed down significantly. Had some dinner and went for some night boating. Super fun.

I'll be updating as the trip goes on.

Serious water heading out of Ko Olina. Bottom pic. I didn't get that great of a picture because it turned to "holy shit" levels in a heart beat, better put the camera away, but it gives you an idea. The boat did great, but the water sure was exciting. Big swells but riding them in to Electric Beach was pretty smooth just a lot of rising and falling with the swells.

Waikiki night boating and a shot of after we passed the Black Hawks holding station with the flag, they chased us for a while.

Fantastic time out here in the 5-O with the Texas Crew! Fantastic water and perfect weather for crushing some waves off Oahu.
