Newb
Well I'm new to Texas and to the forum. My family and I moved to the Waco area back Nov '14 from NW Oklahoma. I bought a nice 01 Baja Hammer last year and quickly discovered I needed a new engine. Planned all winter and start to finish I installed LS3 crate engine in it. I handled all the tuning with a little help from Haxby Marine in Canada and most of my parts for the swap came from Hardin Marine. I have 15hrs on it now between Possum Kingdom 2 weekends and then our first trip to Lake Travis last weekend. Runs like a dream and I can wait to get it further dialed in as I am still running the factory 21p prop. We loved lake Travis and thankful to have so many great lakes around us! Hope to get to know some of you guys!

Welcome to the forums! I am not too far from you to the south in Killeen. Lake belton is fun, but closed due to flooding right now. No Lake Travis, but not enough traffic to disrupt WOT runs.
Sexy setup you have. LOVE THE LS SWAP!! LS series engines rule lol. (See sig)

Welcome and Nice boat!! I just left Waco about a year ago. When lake Waco goes down go give it a try. There are a few fast boats that frequent the lake.
My Happy place is on a boat at the lake with my kids!!

Wow that is beyond cool! I absolutely love it. I see that's not JUST an LS3, you have some mods on there. What kind of power is it putting out?

Re: Newb
Thanks guys, Captain I put an Ls9 cam in it at the advise of Haxby and he has dyno'd a few engines setup exactly like mine and they turn 515hp at the crank. I don't have too many wide open runs on it yet with all the boat traffic. I'm looking forward to figuring out what prop it needs and seeing what it can do. Right now 72 is the best I have seen on the GPS.

What RPM were you getting 72 out of it? Redline?

Welcome to the board. That LS swap is really cool.
I'd love to drop a couple of LS engs in mine. Probably save close to 800 lbs.

Re: Newb
I'm not sure. My tach is not working right and I didn't have the comp set to log. I know it wasn't on the rev limiter and it is set at 6400.Captain YARRR wrote:What RPM were you getting 72 out of it? Redline?
Hope to make some passes with the computer set to log soon.
