seems like a bit much but if the motor has been setting for a while it is not running at peak performance. with a set of "muffs" you could see what is coming out of the exhaust.

clean carbs and check the diaphragm in the fuel pump. I would also replace the fuel lines.

It is unburned oil and gas making its way out with the exhaust. The only other thing it could be is a leak of lower end grease from the shaft.

The exhaust comes out of the prop. If you use a set of muffs it will run cleaner water through it.
